About
About me
My name is Caroline Livingston and health and wellness is my passion and what I live by!
I’ve always been driven to help others. Early on I realized becoming a therapist wasn’t part of my journey. Still, I studied how people work along with furthering my knowledge and experience in the fitness and wellness realm both though my studies in Sociology at Queen’s University (Class of 2009) and with my work as a Program Coordinator for Aquatics, Fitness and Wellness programs with the City of Kingston. During this time, I became a Certified Personal Trainer and a Group Fitness Specialist. I hold my Mental Health First Aid Certification among many others. 10 years later, I still work full time in a capacity where inclusion and life enrichment is the focus and I love it! I’m grateful and so fortunate both for my experiences but also for the ability to work with people every day who come from diverse backgrounds, experiences and with varying beliefs and motivations yet with the common goal of bettering themselves. This could be in one aspect alone, for example fitness goals or in a few ways; mind, body and soul.
That inspired me to complete the Certified Coaches Federation Coach certification in order to further and improve my own knowledge, wellness toolkit and self development but also to help others in another capacity to achieve their goals and be the healthiest version of themselves possible! This includes ensuring this aligns with values, and knowing we are all time poor, using strategies and tools to make the best choices possible each and every day!
My goals
My goal has always been to help others and to eventually own my own wellness business where I could combine my skill sets to really help others make those improvements. As a Fleetwood Mac lover, the song ‘Go Your Own Way’ has particularly resonated with me over the last couple years among others. It’s so important and it’s ok to be true to your self and also to take care of you!
Some people use the word grounded, I use the word anchored. Anchors have since I can remember, been a symbol that makes me feel grounded. I’m a water activity enthusiast and find the most peace breathing in fresh air and nature around me. My animals are my fur-babies! I live with and manage chronic pain, ICS and endometriosis. This makes my personal formula for wellness so important for me to listen to and be mindful of! I choose to manage it and I choose to live and show up each and every day for my personal development, quality of life and overall wellness.
My goals for YOU
I’m so excited to be able to share my experiences, work with you to achieve your goals and improve your knowledge around health, wellness. My purpose as a coach is to help you break through your fears and step into the life YOU want. Setting goals, being accountable and motivated along the way, using positive strategies to build coping skills, self awareness, resilience and ultimately pave the way for overall self improvement is my plan for you…Achieve your anchored wellness, all the while going your own way!
